The Treacherous Jaywalkers were OK live. I saw them at Madame Wong’s West in Santa Monica at a show that Equidemius were scheduled to play at but didn’t because Rick was probably too concerned with getting high. They stepped in at the last minute.

A NeareSST relatives post could be an exploration of the whole PJD cassette catalogue (which brought us 4-track recordings of the pre-SST TREACHEROUS JAYWALKERS, as well as MUSTARD and other EQUIDEMIUS-related music). Of course, the cassettes are hard to come by:

Goddamn, another great entry into the canon of SST esoterica. The Baculum album I dig alot, which, for a bit of trivia, was released on Tim Adams’ 3 Beads of Sweat label, who used to run the Ajax label/distro company. Did you ever deal w/ him? Nice guy. BTW, I have the Treacherous Jaywalkers’ EP and album on SST, and boy, they really do suck. I can’t imagine they’d be any better live.

Was Pat Smear in that one? I saw the one with Pat Smear playing an SLA revolutionary. I think there was a very limited DVD that came out not long ago collecting together those late 80’s films of his, though I’m not sure.

And Equidemius! Yes we’d loooove to hear that. You must have seen TREACHEROUS JAYWALKERS live at some point too – were they any good?
