Mark over at the brand-spankin’ new blog Disaster Amnesiac has beat me to the punch with a great review of Greg Ginn’s new JAMBANG Connecting CD. Hell, Mark’s gotten so close to this rec, he’s nearly managed to turn the album inside out! No mean feat for a novice blogger. I’ve been inspired to reload my copy of this album onto my I-pod for deeper consideration; you latecomers oughta at least get off your asses and buy the damn thing.

Reads like a damn fine new blog indeed! Didn’t know the Jambang album was out. The tracks on their Myspace page are FANTASTIC, and I think will take a lot of people by surprise.

Are you going to check ‘em out on tour? I was thinking that with visual aspect added, it may be an even more fun band for a psychedelic Rock fan. Stork Club in Oakland, look out! Just hope they don’t pull some of the multiple booking shenanigans that have gone on there in recent months. Can someone call Fatso Jetson and ask them to drive up to Oakland from Indio? Please?

I’ve always heard those FATSO boys don’t like to stray too far from their respective families/restaurants. Couldn’t hurt to ask, though.

It is really odd that they are touring up to Philadelphia and not continuing into New York City (only 80 miles way).

It’s TOUGH to get a show in NYC. I once spent a week sitting in a warehouse in SOMA, awaiting promised shows that never materialized. Went to see Spirit Caravan during that ordeal, but the show was “canceled” five minutes before they were to start playing. Who knows, though, maybe Ginn’s rep is still tarnished in NYC. Anyway, I’m looking forward to the Stork Club, Fatso or no Fatso. Calling Baiza! It’s not too late, Joe!
